You're Gonna Love It - Week 41

Happy Valentine's Day week friends!
I hope you world is colored in red and pink this week!
To those of my friends in the New England area,
I hope you are getting dug out from all of the snow and that you are safe and warm.
My youngest son in Connecticut sent us this picture looking out at his car.
No really, it's under there somewhere!

As you know, this week isn't only about Mardi Gras, the beginning of Lent and Valentine's Day,
my birthday is Friday!
So, let the celebrating begin!

My birthday gift to you is, this week will once again be Anything Goes!
Feel free to link up ANYTHING family friendly, your blog posts,
your Etsy or Ebay shops,
ANYTHING!

The most viewed link last week came from
Marti at Sew-lious
Marti shared her awesome Dollar Store Towel Holder.
Heads up Marti!  I am totally stealing this idea when we update our powder room!
Grab yourself an I've Been Featured Button Marti!  We all loved it!

Now it's time for those danged rules:

You can link up your regular posts as always
but, this week

you can also link up your giveaways,
your Etsy shops, your Ebay stores,
your own link parties!
 Anything and everything!
All I ask is that you keep it clean and
family friendly
and
try to limit your posts to only 5 link ups.
I reserve the option of deleting
any post that I do not feel fits the
theme of my blog.
I also like to spotlight
some of my favorites on my
Facebook page so,
be sure to follow me over there too!

It would be a nice birthday gift to me
if you'd check and
make sure you are not a
no-reply commenter.
I try to respond to every email and comment
you leave to me but, if you are a
no-reply commenter,
I can't and that makes me sad.
As always, you don't have to
be a follower
in order to link up.
 I want you to follow
Kathe With An E
because you want to.
Not because it is required.
I would also love it if you would link back
in some way
(happy birthday to me!)
so that others come and party with us.
Either grab the party button
or add my blog link
to your post or on your

  blog party page.
But again, it's not required.

Just remember, this is a party
so please, after you link up,
mingle around
and visit some of the other party guests.

Stop by and visit these other great linky parties this week!

Valentine's Day Cloche

I'm a bit more "into" Valentine's Day decorating this year and I have been having so much fun with reds and pinks and hearts and cherubs! I also wanted to use my cloche as part of my decor for Valentine's Day.

As I was rummaging through my Valentine's day bin I came across one of
my favorite ceramic pieces of two cherubs expressing their love.
Kathe With An E~Valentine's Day Cloche
It was a gift long ago from a dear friend and is actually one of a pair,
but only one would fit into the cloche.
Kathe With An E~Valentine's Day Cloche
I do have to tell you, the base of the cloche fell and shattered into a kazillion pieces a few months ago when I was putting it away.
Luck would have it that the bottom of a cheese plate, painted white, works perfectly! Whew!
Kathe With An E~Valentine's Day Cloche
I printed out, onto some card stock, an image from The Graphics Fairy
and using double sided tape, attached it inside the glass behind the sweet little angels.

Lilies of the Valley were my mother's favorite flower.
I haven't seen them in real life since we moved to Colorado over 40 years ago.
But, when I get a whiff of them, I am transported back in time.

Hey Girl

I have been having so much fun checking at all of the Hey Girl link ups at the
Hey Girl Link Party being hosted by
hey_girl_link_partyI decided to join in with a few of my own Hey Girl photos.

First up, Mr. B. Lord knows the man totally gets involved when I come up with a wild scheme!

Hey Girl, Let me remove the toilet from the powder room so we can put in wood floors while you blog about it.
Kathe With An E - Hey Girl
Max got to join in too.

Hey Mommy, Since you've been working hard all day we only need to play ballballball for 2 hours instead of 3.
Kathe With An E - Hey Girl
And a random Hey Girl that Mr. B would never ever say.

Hey Girl, You're right, we do need to cuddle more. Let me turn off the Super Bowl for a half hour or so.

Do you want to join in on the fun??  Go and make your own and link up here.

Mardi Gras Tree

It's just not fair I tell you!
Fat Tuesday is February 12th and
Lent begins on Wednesday February 13th.
What's not fair about that?
Well Valentine's Day is the 14th as we all know
AND!
My birthday is Friday the 15th!
I ain't afraid to say it, I will hit double nickels!
I just don't feel that old!  Maybe because it really isn't that old??
55 is the new 30??
And Mr. B keeps me young :-)

Anyway, what a week right?

Last year we didn't do much celebrating for my birthday as Daddy was sick
and passed away on the 18th.

So, this year I had high hopes of partying like a rock star.
Granted an aged rock star like Paul McCarthy or Madonna but,
partying until after 9:00 pm none the less!

Now, this year Lent falls just days before my birthday!
Maybe I'll just give up swearing for Lent?
I don't swear a lot but, when I do, well it's pretty saucy!

One thing I know I won't be giving up is decorating!

Since I can't be in New Orleans for Fat Tuesday and all of the Mardi Gras
debauchery, I decided to decorate a little black tree I bought several years ago
at an after Christmas clearance.
Mardi Gras Tree
It's only a couple of feet tall so it fits perfectly on a little table
in the corner of the dining room.
Mardi Gras Tree
I had saved out some Christmas beaded garland when we packed it all away last month.
Mardi Gras Tree
Some Mardi Gras necklaces and masks from the Dollar Tree filled it all in.
Mardi Gras Tree
It's a prelit tree with clear lights and it really lights up the corner!
Mardi Gras Tree
I had originally bought it thinking I'd decorate it for Halloween but I think it works for Mardi Gras too, don't you?
Mardi Gras Tree
I really should give up something fattening for Lent. Chocolates or bread?
Naw, dang it!  I'm giving up swearing!
Mardi Gras Tree
What about you?  Are you giving up anything until Easter?

Welcome dear friends to week 40 of You're Gonna Love It!
Thanks so much for joining me!

And, Holy Carp!!
You guys brought it last week!
163 link ups makes it the best week EVER!

You know I love seeing what you have to share each week!
Even though I have started working again,
this party will be here each and every week!
I promise!

The only thing I can't promise, for the time being anyway,
is that I will share my favorites on my Facebook page.
Once I get all settled in I hope to get back to that on a regular basis.

Thank you again for all of your prayers and positive vibes
while I looked for a new job!
You guys are the very best of the best and gosh darn it, I love you!

Now, I feel like celebrating so let's get on with the party!
It's the first Tuesday of the month and you know what that means,
Anything Goes!

The most viewed link last week came from Annie of
Annie One Can Cook
Annie took us along on her first thrifting trip of the year.
Annie is a newlywed, like in only a few weeks ago, and I believe she lives in my neck of the woods here in Denver! I need to go thrift shopping with Annie!
(I think we even share a friend in common (Hi ThriftDee!))

Grab yourself an I've Been Featured button Annie!

Valentine China Cabinet

As you know, if you read this post, that I finally will be working again.
My first day is Monday Feb. 4th.
I am excited as well as nervous!
In order to expel some of that nervousness I decided to change out the
china cabinet from winter to Valentine's Day.
Valentine's Day Decor
If you remember, I had used peacock scrapbook paper
in the back for the winter theme.
Well, I liked how much the scrapbook paper
really added to it so,
and this pattern really caught my eye.
Valentine's Day Decor
Nice and bright and I just loved all of the different hearts.
Valentine's Day China Cabinet
On the top shelf I used 3 lavender chargers from Michael's in the back.
Valentin's Day Decor
I then layered my pink Churchill dinner plates in front.
Churchill Plates
China Cabinet Decor
I used a pair of Ikea lace look planters to add some dimension.
www.kathewithane.com Valentine's Day Decorating
On the lower shelf, Churchill salad plates and
a pair of pink vases, with heart cutouts, I purchased from Target
last year, on clearance, for $1.29 each!
Valentine's Day Decorating
In the back I placed my favorite red stick wreath from Ikea.

Now, I just have to show off the top of the cabinet.
A few weeks ago I went to an estate sale
and found a couple of items I just love!
Valentine's Day Decorating
The enameled pot was just $4.00.
Estate Sale Finds
And the enameled coffee pot was $10.00.
Estate Sale Decorating
Both have the perfect amount of wear and rust!
Estate Sale Finds
I think they work perfectly with the printers tray
and the sign I found at Hobby Lobby last year.

Putting this all together really did help me
calm my jitters.
Wish me luck as I start my newest adventure!

I always share my tables with
