Simple Spring Wreath

With the first day of Spring only days away I wanted to create something that would greet my favorite season right at our front door so, I did a simple Spring wreath.
Kathe With An E - A Simple Spring Wreath
It only took a few simple supplies from Michael's and about an hours time overall to complete the look I wanted.

A foam wreath form, some flowers and Springy fuzzy yarn was all it took.

Just a matter of wrapping the wreath form with the yarn, gluing on some bright polka dot flowers and I was done.

Against our black door, it really pops!
There should be no way Spring misses our house and decides to sit and visit for a few months!

You're Gonna Love It Tuesday

Happy Day After The Time Change!

Anyone else wish they would just keep it the same all year long?
My internal clock, as well as our dog Max,
found it really hard to get up this morning!
In fact, Max got up, and promptly went back to bed!
I sure wish I could have done the same!

My only saving grace is coffee, and lots of it please!
Oh and partying!
Partying keeps me going too! So let's get this one started!

Last week was the most linked up party in the history of
You're Gonna Love It Tuesday!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving a link to your posts!
And, thank you too, for visiting at least some of the others that link up!
You all are the pop to my tart I swear!

Last weeks most viewed post came from my very best Bloggy Best Friend (BBF), Linda, who blogs at A La Carte
Linda shared her very lucky win.
It was just the piece she needed and all of those with collections of their own know exactly how her heart must have been racing
when she found out she had won!
Be sure to grab yourself an I've Been Featured button Linda
and display it proudly!

Let's Party!

Feel free to link up anything you have created.
Recipes, decor, crafts, written or photographed.
Anything you are so proud of you just gotta share it with others.
I will reserve the option of deleting any post that I do not feel fits the
theme of my blog.

I love to spotlight some of my favorites on my Facebook page and pin them to my You're Gonna Love It Tuesday board on Pinterest so,
be sure to follow me there too! As always, you don't have to be a follower in order to link up. I want you to follow Kathe With An E because you want to, not because it is required.

You can sign up to receive my updates by email right here.
I would love it if you would link back in some way so that others come and party with us. Either grab the party button or add my blog link to your post or on your blog party page. But again, it's not required.

I ask that you please DO NOT link up giveaways, Etsy shops or anything for sale. Save those for the first Tuesday of each month when,
Anything Goes!

Please remember, this is a party. So, after you link up, mingle around
and visit some of the other party guests.

*By linking up your post, you are giving Kathe With An E permission to use your pictures as a feature on this blog and other social media outlets.

St. Patrick's Day Table 2014

I am so ready to see some Spring green! So ready in fact that I went ahead and set the table for St. Patrick's Day!
St. Patrick's Day Tablescape
I started with a green plaid tablecloth I've had for a few years.
St. Patrick's Day Setting
Next came my favorite woven grass placemats from Goodwill.
I then layered our everyday Gibson dishes and bowl at each setting.

The flatware is from Cost Plus World Market.

Even though the dish set was inexpensive, I loved the wavy pattern on the edges.
St. Patrick's Day Tablescape With White Dishes
And, no tablescaper is without a set of basic white dishes.

The same could be said for napkins.  You always need one set of sturdy white ones.

Then, you are able to add color with napkin rings, also from Goodwill.
St. Patrick's Day Tablescape
I used my favorite Irish cut crystal water glasses and green goblets from the Dollar Tree.
St. Patrick's Day Centerpiece
Setting a pretty table need not be expensive.
St. Patrick's Day Table Decor
For the centerpiece I picked up 3 green and white polka dotted pots with faux shamrocks from Michael's and placed a fun Leprechaun and a glittered shamrock pick in each one.

Isn't he so sweet and cheerful?

I'm hoping one will tell me where he has hidden his pot of gold!

I placed a candle in several dessert glasses for some more shine.

And set them between the pots.

Our lawn may still currently look like straw placemats, but my table is wearing the various greens of Spring!

Laundry Room Update - Gifts From A Friend

One of the most wonderful things about blogging is, the people you meet.
Or, actually, those you don't get to meet in person, but become such close friends that you feel like you have known them all of your life.

One such friend is Linda who blogs at A La Carte
Linda and I correspond almost daily and we have determined that we are really sisters from another mother LOL! We share soooo much in common it is scary!! Although we are separated by many miles, we are besties, or as like I like to call her, my BBF, my Bestest Bloggy Friend!

As you know, my birthday was last month and, a few days after, I received a package in the mail, from Linda.  Because of the weather, it showed up a little late but is a loved and treasured gift nonetheless!  Because Linda knows me so well it was the perfect gift!
Two little irons! The blue one is a vintage toy.
You can tell it was well loved by its previous owner.
And is now being loved by its new owner, ME!
The vintage red and black iron has also been well loved but the scuffs and patina are what I enjoy about it! I actually plugged it in and, IT WORKS! Yes, it heats up like it were brand new!
Don't they look so sweet on the shelf in the laundry room?
Another addition is this vintage hanger I won on eBay not long ago. Remember when phone numbers only had a few digits?
Thanks to my long long sister {grin} Linda, my laundry room makes me smile even more!
Thank you dear friend!

You're Gonna Love It Tuesday - Anything Goes!

Happy March!

Happy to be in the
"we are getting closer to Spring every second that passes" month!
Although, March is, on average, one of our snowiest months,
which doesn't really make me that happy.
The good news is, the snow that we do get in March doesn't last long.
I know I am sure hoping for sunny, warm days for all of you north of us!
You poor guys!  What a season it's been!

How about we all party like it's 72 degrees everyday this week?

It is the first Tuesday of the month so,
ANYTHING GOES!

Last week's most viewed post came from my blogging and Facebook buddy, Cathy from My 1929 Charmer
Cathy is introducing a new series called Did Ya Know
What she shares about natural flavorings in our food is eye-opening to say the least!
Be sure to grab yourself an I've Been Featured button Cathy
and display it proudly!

(Before we get going, stop by and enter the giveaway going on now! It's pretty low entry and there will be 5 winners so your chances are pretty good!)
Alright, time to party!
Anything Goes this week!!

You can link up your regular posts as always
but, this week you can also
link up your giveaways,
your Etsy shops, your Ebay stores,
your own link parties!
Anything and everything!

All I ask is that you keep it clean and
family friendly and try to limit your posts to only 5 link ups.

I reserve the option of deleting any post
that I do not feel fits the
theme of my blog.

As always, you don't have to be a follower in order to link up.
I want you to follow Kathe With An E because you want to.
Not because it is required.

But again, it is not required.
