I know the temperatures
make it seem as though it is Summer.
My favorite season is Spring
and my calendar says
Summer doesn't arrive
until June 20th.
So, I am clinging to these last
few Spring days!
With that in mind,
I decided to set one last
Spring table.
I started with a new tablecloth
from JC Penney.
You can't tell from the photos
but in real life it is a gray green
with some teal mixed in.
Perfect for the dinner plates
I found at the thrift store.
25 cents each on 50% of day.
They are marked Royal Norfolk.
I was drawn by their vintage look.
plates at Home Goods last year.
The place mats were
purchased several years ago from Target.
All topped off with a small Corelle bowl.
For the centerpiece I used
a flowery candle holder.
It is another thrift store find.
It was a dark gold and I took
out my trusty white spray paint
and gave her a fresher look.
Instead of candles
I used bright pink
faux daisies.
I cut some white daisies
from the front garden and put them
in my favorite bud vases from Ikea.
Real and faux mixed together.
The water glasses are from Walmart
and the flatware is from Family Dollar.
The simple white napkins
were a gift from Mr. B.
The sweet spring votives were a steal deal
from Kirkland's.
So, in a few short days,
Summer will be here.
But I will not rush the seasons!
For now, in my heart, it is still Spring!
